JAMcamp

for ages 5-9

now offering ONLINE Events!

Dear friends in music and life,

So we can continue to be together, I've moved my JAM and meditation programs online.

While we might be physically apart, let's do our best to stay connected in every way we possibly can!

I hope you'll join me for an online music class, family dance party, concert, mindful moment, or meditation class, including my NEW Mindful Parenting Series starting April 13.

Visit my ONLINE Offerings page to view all the details and learn more.

All about JAMcamp...

"My daughter had a new face on that I had never seen before when she got back from her first day of JAMcamp. My words to describe it would be: empowered, excited, relaxed and full of light." ~ a parent

"The only thing I don't like about JAMcamp is when I get picked up." ~ a JAMcamper

"Charity's JAMcamp is a most special, engaging, and wonderful place for kids to 'camp.' Our kids (boy/girl twins) both LOVE JAMcamp: they come home inspired, singing, thoughtful, grounded, and energized by possibility. Their vocabulary has expanded to include words and phrases including, 'mindfulness, quieting the mind, thoughtful behavior, sharing love.' In a fast-moving world, JAMcamp is a respite -- for the kids, and for their grown-ups, who learn from their kids." ~ a parent

"If you are looking for a safe, fun, peace-filled and joyous day camp for your child, please check out Charity Kahn's JAMcamp. My daughters loved going to summer camp with Charity and taking music and movement classes with her. Charity is a gifted teacher and wonderful person."

"Dance, dance, dance, dance out the door!" ~ a JAMcamper

JAMcamp is...

JAMcamp is a super-fun and enriched opportunity to dive deep into the JAMband musical world through the vehicles of song, dance, creative drama, songwriting, arts and crafts, nature exploration, mindfulness and play, for kids aged 5-9.

We emphasize and prioritize social-emotional learning, community building, mindfulness and kindness, inclusion and understanding, and the importance of showing up with love for everyone and every situation.

JAMcamp is an experience your children will remember forever, overflowing with love, creativity, and the basic honoring of their voices and fundamental human need to connect, play, be magical, and feel part of something larger.

We LOVE our job, and hope you will join us for this very important work of learning through the vehicles of music, dance, art, mindfulness and play.

Readiness for JAMcamp:
JAMcamp is for kids who display, at a minimum, Kindergarten readiness. In order for me to run an effective program which serves the needs of all children, a certain level of independence and self-management is expected; for example, developmentally-appropriate self-control and attention and behavior during circle time and group activities, and also with their peers. If your child is on the border and you're not sure if JAMcamp is a good fit, please call me to discuss (415-425-0372). If I determine after camp has begun that your child is not developmentally ready for the program (for example, if they require a counselor shadow at all times in order to keep the peace), I will make the call as to whether or not they can finish out the day or week. There are no refunds in this case, so if you have any questions about their preparedness, it is best to talk with me first. Thank you for understanding!
